For those of you who still don’t know Google Voice is a service offered (currently only available in USA) by Google. With it you can make calls at reduced price and save a lot of money which is always a good thing.
Also with it you can send sms and also Google Voice gives you your own inbox.
That said, Google Voice extension makes everything easier by adding an icon next to your toolbar. With it sending messages, accessing your inbox, calling people is literally just one click away. Also it allows you to highlight phone numbers and automatically call them. In other words, you don’t even have to dial anymore.
How to Use Google Voice Extension for Google Chrome:
After installing Google Voice extension for Google Chrome a little icon should show up at the usual place, next to your address bar. In order to use it you need to reside within the US.
To start using it click the icon and a little window should show up. 3 tabs should be visible: “Call”, “SMS” and “Inbox”. The first tab allows you to call whoever you want, just fill in the field accordingly. The SMS tab allows you to send text message to mobile phones.
Finally the last tab allows you to check your inbox. Also important, is that if you find a phone number on the web you want to dial just highlight it with your mouse and Google Voice might give you the option to call it.
